Was it God, Gods, YHWH, Christ?

1 – Elohim created the heavens and the earth

„In the beginning Gods (430 – Elohim, plural) created (singular) heavens and earth.” – Genesis 1:1.

430 – Elohim, or Gods. This is a plural noun. Elohim comes from the word: 433 eloah – God, singular. Eloah comes from the word: El with the number 410 and means God also in the singular.
Here we have an interesting sentence structure: „Gods (430 – Elohim plural) created (singular)”. Elohim is plural, and the word „created” is singular.
That is why there are different opinions whether it was God or Gods who created. The following verses explain this to us.

2 – Everything was created by Christ

„Many times and in many ways God spoke in former times to the fathers through the prophets; in these last days spoke to us through the Son, whom He appointed (5087 – past perfect) heir of all things and through whom He made the eons (ages, times).”

Past perfect tense – refers to actions that were completed in the past, and are therefore „done” (i.e. have a clear end or result).

„Because in Him were created (2936 – past perfect) all things that are in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible things, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities; all things were created through Him and for Him.” – Colossians 1:16.

„In the beginning was (imperfect past) the Word; the Word was with God, and God was the Word. It was in the beginning with God. All things through Him became (second past perfect), and without Him became nothing that became. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten coming from the Father, full of grace and glory. – John 1:1-4 and 14.

Past imperfective verb – refers to actions that took place in the past but were not completed, lasted for some time, or were repeated in the past.
The second past perfect tense (or otherwise the past pluperfect tense) is a grammatical category that describes actions that were completed before other actions in the past.
Other Verses:

„Yet for us there is only one/oneness God the Father, from Whom are all things and we for Him, and one/oneness Lord, Yeshu Christ, through Whom are all things and we through Him.” – 1 Corinthians 8:6.

„And to the angel of the assembly in Laodicea write: Behold, what says the Amen, the Witness faithful and true, the Beginning of God’s creation.” – Revelation 3:14.

„And enlightened all, what is the fellowship of the mystery hidden from ages in God, who created (past perfect) all things through Yeshu the Anointed.” – Ephesians 3:9.

3 – YHWH Created

„For in six days/ages/times YHWH made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but on the seventh day/age/time He rested. Therefore, YHWH blessed the sabbath day and declared it holy.” – Exodus 20:11.

„And Hezekiah prayed before the face of YHWH, saying: YHWH, God of Israel! Who sits on the cherubim, You alone are God of all the kingdoms of the world. You have made the heaven and the earth.” – 2 Kings 19:15.

„Thus says YHWH God, Who created and stretched out the heaven, spread out the earth with its produce, gave to the people on it the breath of life and the spirit to those who walk on it.” – Isaiah 42:5.

„For you take the name from the Holy City and rely on the God of Israel, whose name is YHWH of Hosts.
Listen to Me, Jacob, Israel, whom I have called: I Myself, I am the first and I also am the last. My own hand founded the earth, and My right hand stretched out the heaven. When I call to them, they stand together at once.” -Isaiah 48:2 and 12-13.

„By the word of YHWH were made the heavens and all their host, by the breath of His mouth.” – Psalms 33:6.

„You, YHWH, are the only One. You made the heavens, the heaven of heavens and all their armies/host; the earth and all that is on it; the seas and all that is in them. You give life to all these things, and the army/host of heavens bows down to You.” – Nehemiah 9:6.

He approached and took (the scroll) from the right hand of the One who sat on the throne.” – Revelation 5:1 and 6-7.
