YHWH – YAH. Who Are They?

„Allelu YAH” means: praise, glorify: YAH.
Who is „Yah”?

„After these (events), I heard something like the mighty voice of a great/powerful multitude in heaven, saying: allelu YAH (239) salvation and glory and power of our God” – Revelation 19:1.

„Then the twenty-four elders/presbyters and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, who sits on the throne, saying: amen, allelu YAH (239)” – Revelation 19:4.

This is how the word appears in three languages:
• In Hebrew: „הללו יה„.
• In Greek: „αλληλου ια”.
• In English: „allelu Yah”.

  1. hallélouia means:
    • It comes from the Hebrew expression הַלְלוּ יָהּ (halal Yah), meaning „praise Yah” or „praise the Lord”.
    • Therefore, it comes from the words: halal, Yah.
    • In Hebrew, it appears in: Strong’s Hebrew 1984 (הָלַל, halal) and Strong’s Hebrew 3050 (יָהּ, Yah).
    • The term „alleluyah” is a shout of praise to God. It is used to express joy, thanksgiving, and worship to the Lord.
    • 239 allēlouia – literally „praise Yah”.

Also in the Old Testament we have many times the praise of Yah. Here is an example:

Sing to the Gods (Elohim), make music to His (singular) name/name(8034);
Praise Him (singular) who rides on the clouds,
Yah (3050) His name(8034), rejoice before Him”- Psalm 68:4.

The word 3050 means:
• The term „Yah/Jah” is a shortened form of the divine name YHWH, often used in the Hebrew Scriptures in poetic and liturgical contexts. „Yah” often appears in expressions of praise, for example in the word „
Allelujah”, which means „Praise Yah”.
• The word 3050
Yah – is derived from the word: YHWH – JHWH

In Revelation 19:4 (the verse above), the twenty-four Elders and the four Living Creatures worshiped God seated on the throne, praising His name: „YAH„. If we find out who is seated on the throne, we will know who bears the name „YAH” in the exclamation „allelu YAH.”

Who was YHWH?
Moses was given permission to call God by the name YHWH:

„I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as God (EL-410) Almighty, but by My name (8034) YHWH (3068), I did not make Myself known to them” – Exodus 6:3.

In this verse, YHWH and YAH are praised. We can also say that the praise is directed toward the same God:

Blessed be YHWH, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. And let all the people say: Amen. Praise YAH (3050)” – Psalm 106:48.

Here we have an example of two spiritual Beings operating under the name YHWH:
Then YHWH (3068) rained sulfur and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah – (מֵאֵ֥ת יְהוָ֖ה me’et YHWH) from (853) YHWH (3068) out of the heavens (plural)” – Genesis 19:24.

This indicates that at least two spiritual Beings operated under the name YHWH.

Here we have a meeting of YHWH with satan:
„One day the sons of God came to present themselves before YHWH (3068), and satan also came with them” – Job 1:6.

The dictionary on biblehub.com describes JHWH with the number 3068 as follows:
• The name of the God of Israel.
• Derived from havah1933b, meaning: to become, to come to be.
• Derived from hayah1961, meaning: to exist, to be, to become.

Summary
We have the following names of God:
EL – means God.
Elohim – Gods.
• Yah (יָהּ) – shortened form of the Divine Name (YHWH). It appears, for example, in the word „allelujah” (הַלְלוּ־יָהּ, alelu-Yah = „praise Yah”) – known to Abraham.
• YHWH (יהוה) – the tetragram, especially revealed to Moses in the Book of Exodus; known to the chosen nation: Israel.
YeshuYesu – the current name of Christ.
• YAH – YA – included in Revelation in the exclamation „allelu YAH” and, for example, in Psalm 106:48.

This is how the words YHWH and YAH originated:

  1. Word 239: הָלַל יָהּ – alleluYah – (in Revelation 19:4). The Greek word 239 YAH comes from the Hebrew word 3050.
  2. Word 3050: יָהּ – Yah (Ya) – in Psalm 106:48 (3050) – Exodus 6:3 (3068). The word 3050 YAH/Ya comes from the word 3068.
  3. Word 3068: יהוה – YHWH. The word 3068 YHWH comes from words 1933b and 1961.
  4. Word 1933b: הָוָא – derived from havah, meaning: to become, to come to be.
  5. Word 1961: הָיָה – (in Exodus 3:14). Derived from hayah, meaning: to exist, to be, to become.

„Gods (Elohim, plural) said to Moses: I Am/Being (1961), who I Am/Being (1961). Thus, you will say to the sons of Israel, I Am/Being (1961) has sent me to you” – Exodus 3:14.

And one more summary…

  1. The name of Christ in Greek, written as Yeshu/Yesu, has the dictionary number 2424.
  2. 2424 comes from the Hebrew word 3091. LINK
  3. The word 3091 originates from YHWH-3068 and yasha – 3467.
  4. YHWH (3068) is the name of God from the Old Testament. Yasha (3467) is a verb meaning: salvation, to save, to rescue, to deliver, to achieve victory, to liberate.

The conclusion is very interesting:
The names Yah – YHWH – Yeshu/Yesu are interconnected. They signify God who is, who exists, who saves.
